Sunday July 28th
July 28th Kalihi Roots Limited Release: Only 40 Pints on Tap! This is a day of celebration for many folks who remember that on July 31st, 1843 Great Britain formally recognized the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Hawai'i at Thomas Square. This day is officially recognized by the State of Hawai'i as Sovereignty Restoration Day, or Lā Hoʻihoʻi Ea. Since this is right on Beritania Street and Beritania is the Hawaiian spelling for "Brittania", it seemed the perfect time to release a British Pub Ale, AKA Extra Special Bitter, or ESB. Despite the name, this drink isn't bitter at all: with a smooth bready, caramel flavor and light body it's a low (4.8%) ABV, sessionable pale ale. Ever wanted something with a bit more malt flavor on a hot day that still tastes refreshing? This is the perfect beer for you, and the English Ale yeast adds subtle fruitiness and pinch of spice that ties the whole thing together. We began July celebrating our pride in the country we live in. Let's end it celebrating our pride in the islands we live in.

Subjects range from the different malts than can be used for brewing to hop and water science, the pros and cons of different yeast strains, and setting up a small scale—but professional quality—brewing system in your own home.

Really enjoyed my beers, food, and time here. Don't be shy, park in the home brew store spots, I promise you're in the right place. Friendly and polite staff, excellent beers (really enjoyed the hefeweizen) and the tacos were tasty...
Great brewery right off Dillingham and walking distance from chinatown. Nice core selection of beers and food, nice surprise coming on satueday for the smash burger...
Had the carnitas quesadilla, it was very good. Went on a Saturday and caught some good live music. I did not have the beer but people in my group did and thought it was very good. The service was great for it being packed.
What a gem, my friend found this hidden beauty and we were so surprised. The beer is Amazing and the food was fantastic!
